I dreamt my husband was pregnant

It’s weird how my brain takes in tons of information during the day and processes it into something weird in the form of my dreams at night. For instance, I dreamt my husband was pregnant.

How it happened

Lately, I’ve been following the news story of trans athletes (male to female) being banned from swimming in women’s categories in elite competitions by FINA.

Also, the other day my husband was very snackish and said that if he didn’t know any better, he would think he was pregnant because he kept getting cravings.

My brain took these two things and made me have a weird dream. So, that night I dreamt my husband was pregnant.

I can’t remember exactly how it occurred. There was some mention of my husband having a hormone injection and then not long after he got pregnant. Also, I was the biological mother of the child. It’s a dream: there is no logic.

In this dream, his water broke, and he refused to go to the hospital. He mansplained to me that he was not in labour, and he was fine and would stay at home.

I woke up before he went into labour. (That’s a sentence I never thought I would type.)

His reaction

The next day, I told my husband about the dream and he was quite nonchalant about it. Later, I asked him if it bothered him that I had these weird dreams about him.

He does not care in the least.

He said something like: “Honey, you dream your weird little dreams and you enjoy them.”

I love him.

Lastly

Have you had a weird dream about your partner? Tell me about it in the comments.

Meh.
