I think everyone who has ever seen a scary movie is probably afraid of letting their feet hang over their bed when they sleep because it feels like some creature from a nether world will grab it and drag you to the pits of hell. Well, I used to have a monster under my bed.
So, my dad is quite the character (as illustrated here, here, and here). He’s a great storyteller, as many of my family members on that side of the family. Last year, I decided I wanted to do something with my dad’s stories (lockdown will do that to you) and started recording his stories and transcribing them.
Let’s be honest, it doesn’t matter how old you are or what country you live in, everyone’s parents have emotionally scarred them in one way or another.
My dad loves watching television. I wouldn’t say it’s a problem because he loves reading books and the newspaper as well (and occasionally getting on my nerves). It’s so funny watching television with my dad – he says the weirdest and funniest things.
