I’m back!

People of the internet, I’m back at the blogging thing. Things have been quite hectic the past couple of weeks (or more accurately, months).

What happened?

First off, I got married. It was quite a brief engagement, only two months, and we had to plan a wedding in that time. That is something I never want to repeat. The wedding itself was the best day ever, but everything before that was utter shit.

Also, I was busy with my teaching practice during that time as well. This meant that I was at school from 7am to 2pm and then worked from 3pm to 6pm. Thereafter I went to karate, and then in the evenings, I did lesson planning and assignments. Needless to say, those couple of weeks were truly exhausting.

Besides all the above, we are getting ready to move halfway around the globe. We are still getting all our documents ready for our visas, and it is taking forever. However, I am very excited about the new start. I don’t know when we’ll be flying over yet.

Assignments

Did I mention that I’ve been doing assignments? At one point, it felt like it would never end. I only handed in my last assignment for the semester last night. What a relief that it’s over. Now I only have the last test to worry about before the mid-year break.

Can I just say that I hate assignments? I especially hate them when the lecturer is impossible. For instance, I had to be ‘innovative’ with my ideas and argument but at the same time, I had to reference everything. Also, most of the ‘innovations’ in education have already been written about. There is not much that I, as a pre-teacher, can add to the literature.

But, whatever… I just want to get my qualification.

Lastly

I also gained weight—geez, what a way to add insult to injury.

All in all, it’s good to be back.

Meh.
