My dad’s stories
So, my dad is quite the character (as illustrated here, here, and here). He’s a great storyteller, as many of my family members on that side of the family. Last year, I decided I wanted to do something with my dad’s stories (lockdown will do that to you) and started recording his stories and transcribing them.

My dad during this lockdown
Here in sunny South Africa, we’ve been in lockdown for what feels like forever, but it’s only been two months. I’ve been at home with my parents and brother. When you’re forced to stay inside for so long, it starts to affect you. I, for instance, have started to notice more how strange my dad is. Well, more funny than strange. Let me illustrate this point with 8 ‘incidents’ involving my dad during the lockdown.
