I live in South Africa where there is so much diversity. For instance, we have eleven official languages. The various cultures are all very different, but it’s important to remember that there are little things we all have in common.
Let’s be honest, a lot of people think if you work in the service industry, they can treat you however they please (like Karens, for example). For me, that is such a turn-off. I don’t want to be around a person who is rude to them, no matter what they do - assistants in shops, cashiers, or waiters. In this post, I’m going to look at why it’s important to be nice to waiters specifically.
Covid-19 got me thinking, how would this pandemic have been if it happened twenty years ago? Then I thought about the era that I would have rather wanted to live in to avoid the virus. Ancient times? The Victorian age? The 1920’s? The seventies? The eighties? Actually, the era I would like to live in, is this one (Corona and all).
I have never met anyone who liked going to the dentist – and yes, as you have guessed I also hate the dentist, for various reasons. You may be wondering why I’m writing this, and the truth is, I’ll have to visit the dentist soon because I have a toothache and for some weird reason, I think it will console me if I bad-mouth dentists everywhere (pun intended).
